Flour Milling Excellence: Heritage Meets Innovation

Two flour mills from different centuries stand side by side at our New Oxford, Pennsylvania facility located along the banks of the Conewago Creek. Today, Ag Com is a sixth-generation, family-owned and operated business specializing in bulk flour manufacturing from soft red winter wheat. Our modern, five-story flour milling facility began operations in 2019 and completed an expansion in 2024, enabling our state-of-the-art, energy-efficient mill to increase our capacity to 5,000 cwts of premium pastry flour per day. Alongside it, the historic mill continues to operate, contributing an additional 1,500 cwts to our daily production. We are proud to be a trusted partner to some of the largest and most respected companies in the pastry and snack food industry, building long-term relationships through quality, consistency, and service.

A Legacy Rooted in Tradition

The roots of Ag Com, Inc., known by its current name since 1983, trace back to 1905, when David Henry Sharrer moved his family to Pennsylvania and purchased an existing mill along the Conewago Creek.  Powered by the strong, steady flow of the creek, the mill became the foundation of a legacy that set the tone for generations of innovation and growth.

Advanced Flour Milling Technology

The OMAS Leonardo Roller Mill delivers significant energy savings compared to conventional belt-driven systems, improving both efficiency and sustainability.  Its direct-driven design provides precise grinding control through torque regulation, allowing each roller to be independently set to the desired rotation speed for optimal performance.  The roller mill system is further enhanced by a comprehensive command and control platform, featuring a multipurpose touchscreen interface that simplifies operation and maximizes productivity.  The production flow illustrated below showcases our state-of-the-art milling technology, designed to ensure high yields, superior flour quality, and continuous, reliable operation.
